Electrical Commissioning Engineer – Data Centre – Finland Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector. We are currently constructing multiple Turnkey Data Centre Projects across Europe, equating to over 500 MW of IT load in flight. We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team. This position will be based on-site in Helsinki, Finland.
Plan, execute, and oversee the commissioning of all electrical systems—including LV, MV, switchgear, UPS, generators, power distribution, and critical systems—ensuring all commissioning phases meet project specifications and data centre standards.
• Develop and Execute Commissioning Plans & Procedures
Prepare detailed commissioning documentation including test scripts, method statements, commissioning schedules, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
• Perform Testing, Inspection & Verification
Carry out functional testing, system validation, redundancy checks, and integrated electrical testing, identifying defects or deviations and ensuring issues are tracked, resolved, and re-tested in an organised and timely manner.
• Coordinate with MEP, Construction & Client Teams
Work closely with project managers, MEP leads, authorised persons, vendors, and client representatives to plan commissioning sequences, interface with other disciplines, and support smooth system handover and energisation.
• Ensure Compliance, Documentation & Handover Readiness
Maintain accurate commissioning records, test reports, quality documentation, redlines, and as-built data. Ensure all electrical systems achieve the required compliance, performance standards, and documentation for client acceptance.
Must have 6+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
EU Passport is preferred but not mandatory
